With immersive production and heartfelt lyricism, Wexford has released their fourth single “Moving On” from their upcoming album Silent Key. The sophomore record follows their 2022 debut album Ok Suburbia. Dave Mueller and Andy Kohlmann are the band’s founding members, with Shawn Daley and Jeff Venderbussche joining the group in 2023 to fill out the rhythm section.
The Ohio group takes alternative, punk, and rock to create a sound that is all their own. Behind the intense guitars and drumming is an emotional track that tackles change and pushing through it. The song starts with a phone call that goes to voicemail; the voicemail left can be seen as the song itself. The song ends with the phone’s disconnect sound. Giving this immersive and cohesive feel.
Overall, the song is a great introduction to the band, highlighting their creativity and the diversity of their influences.
