SUREFIRE’s song “Make Your Move” was released on March 3, 2022. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania based band was formed in 2016 by Natalie Flango and Jason Duty with Garrett Glausser joining later. “Make Your Move” is the fourth track on their debut album “On Borrowed Time” which was two and a half years in the making and is a mix of songs that tell the story of perseverance and holding onto hope from the minds and views of three very different individuals.
The track features catchy guitar with a strong percussion with Natalie’s amazing vocals. For me, it really hits with a 90’s energy that brought me back to my days of listening to The Cranberries and The Wallflowers. “Make Your Move” is just a fun song that makes me want to get up and move. Okay, so that probably just means it will be my new go-to cleaning song, but I’m still moving.
“Make Your Move” is a wish for your crush to give things a go which I think most of us can relate to. “Weeks pass and you still call me late at night” hit me hard – maybe I’ll share this since we “talk and talk and nothing ever happens.” Isn’t it great how you can just use music to communicate things? And this song is perfect for a situation where you’re waiting on someone to make their move.
Overall I really enjoyed “Make Your Move” and can’t wait to dig into the rest of the album which is out now on Spotify, iTunes, Soundcloud, and YouTube Music.
