Q: I love the lyrics on the track. Walk me through your writing and production process making “ABOVE CLOUD 9”!
The writing and production process was very quick for this one. I found the sample the night before our session and put some drums over it. I just did what felt natural. After I finished the beat I sat on the floor in my room and wrote lyrics with the track looping on my laptop.
Q: What has been one of the most significant moments of your musical journey so far?
Aside from this song, the Artist Showcase I performed in Hartford CT was the most significant moment I’ve had.
Q: The artwork for the song looks dope! I heard you drew it by hand, what was the inspiration behind it?
I tried so many ideas with the artwork, but nothing was working. It was originally gonna be a drawing of Suave and I. I decided to keep it simple and capture the feeling of the track.
Q: If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?
Would love to open for Denzel Curry.
Q: What do you do when you AREN’T working on music?
When I’m not making music I’m making visual art, and when I’m not doing that I’m at the gym.
Q: The music video recently came out, and it looks great! What was your favorite moment making it?
My favorite part was filming it. The videographer did a great job and it felt nice not to worry about camera angles for once.
