“Troubled Mind” by Sarah O’Moore

Showcasing her vulnerability and spotlighting youth mental health, Irish singer/songwriter Sarah O’Moore has released her single “Troubled Mind,” available everywhere now. The Berlin based singer has released the lead single to her debut EP “Social Paralysis which is set to release on April 28th, 2024.

“Troubled Mind” is a song of that tackles harder to talk about topics such as addiction and domestic abuse. O’Moore has distinct vocals that are rich and bluesy like artists Elle King and Sinéad O’Connor. The track has complex layers of instruments like driving drums and synths all while highlighting O’Moore’s vocals.

The lyrics tell a story, and the chorus feels like O’Moore is shouting desperately about these struggles that are happening, singing, “troubled mind, Lord / won’t you listen to my troubled mind?”

When asked to share her inspiration for the single and the upcoming project as a whole, she said, “I wanted to give voice to those silenced by their own battles, shedding light on the complexities of modern life.” ‘Social Paralysis’ serves as a testament to resilience, offering solace and solidarity to those grappling with unseen hardships.”

Overall, O’Moore is able to share her thoughts on the human experience and is hoping that listeners can also find the power to confront their unspoken troubles. The singer has already found a sweet spot in her ability to share real lyrics and storytelling about harder topics with a bluesy full voice and strong, interesting instrumentals to accompany her. Be sure to check out her single “Troubled Mind” and be on the lookout for the debut EP out on April 28th!
