Grace Kinter has one of those voices that feels authentic only to her. She mixes R&B and soul with a soft indie influence and really connects with her audience through her unique sound. Her vocal tone creates space for the instrumentation to connect with the lyrical journey in a more profound way. This is represented and then some in her newest album, “Two Fold”.
“Two Fold” Starts off strong with “Somebody’s Favorite”. This song has a light and romantic feel to it and does a good job at contrasting the sultry feeling with a feature from Lando Chill. The harmonic connection between the two performers really does a great job at creating a dynamic entrance for this record.
“Dad’s Interlude” is simply angelic. Grace Kinter’s vocals are profound and presented in a way that clearly is from the heart. Her raspy additions to her range help the wording fly off the tongue and showcase a deeper meaning to the essence of the song. She Does this similarly with “Never The Right Time”.
The Record ends with two dynamic songs. “Manic Pixie Dream Girl” and “I’ll Show You How”. Both songs emulate such a strength in Grace Kinter’s vocals and present a collision of musical excellence. The jazz influence is the strongest in these two and really help wrap up her sound in a bow.
