The track opens with quickly strumming guitars and catchy drum hits. Dynamic production offers a compelling sonic journey from start to finish, becoming more sparse and atmospheric at some points, and other times offering a thumping kick drum that builds tension and energy in tandem with the vocal performance becoming more passionate. Lilting melodies dance, then shift into quick, unrelenting melodies, showcasing the chaotic emotions that have faded into hopeful acceptance. 

Yvonne reflects on a past relationship in “Changed My Mind.” This love was very meaningful to her, and she mentions she mourned it for over a year. But now, looking back, she realizes she is better off without this person. Lines like “you don’t even know me like you claim to” and “you made me hate my guitar cause it only knows your name” tell us that she didn’t feel seen in this relationship. Now that “time has passed,” she is able to move on and change her mind.
