“Not Coming Down” by Eli Golden

I’m never prepared for Eli Golden’s vocals. Every time I hear him sing, he takes me by surprise with how smooth, soulful, and precise his voice is. His track “Not Coming Down” hits that same nerve.

It’s a pop song with touches of R&B and a beat full of swagger, packed with energy from start to finish. It gives early 2000s boy band vibes in the best way—think early Justin Timberlake meets a bit of Jason Mraz, with a sprinkle of that August Rush magic.

The acoustic guitar in the background adds such a personal touch. You can hear the care in every strum and even the percussive slaps on the strings, which somehow feel just as important as the vocals themselves. It’s the kind of track you want to dance to, choreograph an entire routine to, and then hit repeat.

Eli Golden first made waves on screen as Evan Goldman in 13: The Musical on Netflix, and he’s also appeared in Orange Is the New Black and The Wizard of Lies alongside Robert De Niro. Now he’s stepping fully into music, and “Not Coming Down” proves he’s more than ready. Taken from his debut album From the Desk of Eli Golden, the song is a bold, uplifting anthem about resilience and refusing to let the past weigh you down.

This one deserves to be played loud, danced to, and played again.
