If you’re looking for a wedding song, Vonrenzo’s aptly named “Wedding Song (Be My Bride)” might just end your search. With a soulful voice, Vonrenzo describes a pure and true love.
“Here is the moment I’ve been waiting to know.” In just one line, we see Vonrenzo’s excitement and relief at finding this love. He’s been waiting for the moment he can finally relax in the peace of knowing he has found his person. A moment many of us are waiting for now, “Wedding Song (Be My Bride)” gives us hope that this love story could come true for us, too.
With a waltzing tempo and atmospheric guitar, the image of holding your partner while you dance naturally comes to mind (maybe even in the rain, if you have an especially cinematic imagination). Vonrenzo sings to his love: “I wanna spend the rest of my life holding your hand.” This simple, yet earnest, request shows just how deep this love goes.
Towards the end of the song, Vonrenzo repeats the lines “fallen in, fallen in love” over and over. I think it’s a beautiful way to express the marvel that this love exists. By repeating that he’s in love, he’s rejoicing in the fact that it’s real- he has finally reached the moment he has dreamed of.
Vonrenzo ends the song with the line “Will you marry me? Will you?” The build up of this fantastical love has a beautiful release by concluding with a proposal that will officially solidify the love. Though we don’t hear the lovers’ answer, I’m willing to bet the pureness of Vonrenzo’s love led to a happy ending.
