“Love Me Like I Love You” by Nana Rose

First of all, can I just say Wow. Nana M. Rose is a powerhouse! Her voice is undeniably strong, yet she possesses the ability to give vulnerability with ease, along with the likes of her inspirations Adele, Amy Whinehouse and Jorja Smith.

“Love me like I love you” was released on Oct. 2nd by the Rotterdam based singer and if you didn’t know she also holds the city’s prestigious award, The Great Prize.

Rose explains “the song is about pain and the challenge of letting go. And newfound hope in learning to accept yourself for who you truly are”, which is something I know most are reckoning with during these months of pandemic.

She also said “it addresses my need to be loved, to be the perfect girlfriend, daughter, sister, and even the perfect stranger – a self-imposed duty that made me feel like I was losing touch with the authentic me”.

This song pulls at you with it’s piano keys, ethereal strings but most of all it’s Nana’s authentic sound that has us ready, willing and waiting for more.
