Explosive riffs and climactic in scope and dynamics, “Rough Diamonds” is Electric High at their best, with a strong rock ‘n’ roll presence and ingenious songwriting.
Riding the high of the success off of their previous track “Populate the Moon”, Electric High have released “Rough Diamond”, a high-voltage banger. The track dances between compelling verses consisting of pounding, addictive melodies based in slick rock rhythms, a funkier, chiller pre-chorus and a massive, climatic refrain. The finale is a culmination of multiple dynamic changes and lyrical brilliance that’s endlessly rewarding.
Hailing from Bergen, Norway, Electric High are a rock band influenced by bands like Wolfmother, Aerosmith and Black Sabbath. Composed from members of bands Sahg, Faith Circus and Emmerhoff & The Melancholy Babies, the 5 piece makes good use of its two powerhouse lead singers, PV Staff and Olav Iversen. Their captivating energy takes nothing away from the tremendous instrumentation providing the backbone for each track. Other members include Marius Mørch (guitars) Einride Torvik (bass) and Tor Bjarne Bjelland (drums).
Charismatic performances and tight production combined with their unique ability to craft addictive rock songs has led to Electric High garnering a strong indie following in recent months. The dirty guitar tones and classic drumming sensibilities seep their way through every track but each new release houses something new to sink your teeth into. With a string of amazing singles released and available to stream now, there’s never been a better time to find yourself in Electric Highs rocking discography. Stream “Rough Diamond” here now!
