Near Death Experience (NDX) is a four-piece band from Ealing, London. They formed in 2016 and played at Glastonbury in 2017 which gained them a reputation for powerful, emotive live performances and a “shimmering psyche-tinged rock’n’ soul” sound. They call themselves the Psychedelic Rock’n’Soul Superheroes.
NDX opened their 2022 with the release of their new single “Found”, according to the group it’s a driving, rousing anthem of lost lives saved by the power of love, infused with a sumptuous brooding guitar riff and featuring a chorus catchier than Omicron. Now while the state of the world is no joke, it is nice to smile through all the sadness that the world provides.
“Found” helps provide that smile that everyone so desperately needs in times like this. Having inspiring and upbeat music can be hard but NDX certainly knows how to capture and keep their audience. This is the song you hear and you can’t help but to immediately start dancing.
With almost 3,000 monthly listeners and over 123,000 listens on all of their singles, it’s pretty dang obvious that once you listen to Near Death Experience, you get hooked. “Found” is not a classic love song but a love song it is. This song is surely going to be listened to as much as their other releases. By the end of it you won’t be able to help yourself and you will be singing along.
