“Creature” by 1.0.8.

1.0.8 also known as Andrew Stewart is originally from Glasgow and currently lives in North Yorkshire. He says he works on a wide range of visual and music based projects involving both established artists and emerging artistic talent. Stewarts first independent recording project began in 2019 under the name ‘Familial’ at Post Electric Studios, Edinburgh, with nephew Calum Stewart (now with Glasgow’s ‘The Ninth Wave’), and with daughter India Stewart – filmmaker.

“Creature” is a single release from the upcoming ‘DEVOTION’ album, a 12 track debut LP from 1.0.8….It will be available on vinyl, CD and digitally from 18th March 2022. Save the date folks.

According to Andrew “Creature” is a song about discovering the incredible photographs of one of the worlds great war photographers Don McCullin, who also made awe inspiring images of homeless people in the East End of London during the 1960’s, and breathtaking portraits of the Industrial North.

The song makes you feel an overwhelming amount of emotions, it makes you want to smile, adn cry at the same time. It is very helpful to literally see the images that Andrew is singing about. They are so beautiful which makes this tribute song even more beautiful.

The images of Don McCullin and the song “Creature” from 1.0.8. is something to be desired. Discovering artists such as Andrew, opens you up to many different worlds. You don’t want to miss out what Andrew does next so make sure to set your calendars on March 18 for his album release “Devotion”.
