Dreamt up from a young teenage Mishkin with insomnia, comes four piece cinematic rock/metal band from London, Birdeatsbaby. Singer Mishkin Fitzgerald started the group with having a church background that was strongly influenced by hymns and later she fell in love with rock. She the met guitarist and bassist, Garry at uni and a partnership was formed. Throughout the year, drummer and percussionist Anna Mylee joined and a name you already may know, Hana Piranha on violin, cello and harp.
“Ribbons” is the latest single from the ever so popular Birdeatsbaby, the dark, somber song will make you want to feel all of you emotions. Mishkin wrote this about how your choices can become restricted, and if you’ve lived life long you enough you know that making the right choice or the best choice for you isn’t easy. “Ribbons” is the first single from their upcoming album, HEX, which they say is a dark progressive collection of occult themed songs.
If this is your first introduction to Birdeatsbaby, then you are lucky to have “Ribbons” as their first song. It only entices you to listen to more of their music, the hypnotizing vocals of Mishan will lead you down a rabbit hole that you don’t want to get out of. Birdeatsbaby is soon to be a favorite band of yours.
