There is just no stopping Edie Yvonne, she is gracing us with her presence yet again, her new single “Girl Code” is here, and it’s truly bedazzling. From lighter moods (“On Your Mind”, 2023) to darker moods (“Darkness Bliss”, 2023) to light again, with this new single, and we love how no matter what- Edie creates what she wants.
E. Yvonne may be young, but she wants her listeners to hear her control through her music and allow us to understand that she holds it all in the palm of her hand.
Here are a few words from Edie herself about her new single, “Having recently started high school, “Girl Code” is a response to changing relationships, challenging friendships and the drama of the fragile stage of becoming a teenager. It is a more introspective response to her recent adolescent anthem “Queen Bee”.
We love that E. Y expresses herself in many ways, and that she allows herself to be vulnerable within her lyrics, especially while being young and putting yourself out there can be hard no matter the age, regardless- we applaud Edie with how far she’s come and how far she’s going.
