A native of Israel but now enthralling fans stateside, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and all around musical virtuoso, Jazz artist Ido Eylon has spent the majority of their life practicing their craft and delivering their work to an evergrowing worldwide audience. With ambitions to become the most successful Israeli-born pianist and composer of all time and already well on their way to seeing that goal realized, their resume speaks volumes to their accomplishments, with accolades including tours across the globe, performances at festivals including Red Sea and the historic New Orleans Jazz Festival, and a seemingly endless repertoire of original work
With momentum on their side and no signs of slowing down, today marks the release of their latest instrumental single, “Didn’t Know.” Collaborating with dear friends and comparably accomplished artists in their own right, the track features the work of Shahar Amdor guiding the melody with their Saxophone and Paul Reinhold leading the rhythm on bass. Composed, recorded, and mixed by Eylon personally, the music leaps from the listener’s speakers to their souls as the artists tell a story with every note they play.
Beginning with Eylon’s soft and personal piano introduction, we are immediately put in a relaxed and optimistic mood from the first few moments of the music. Amdor’s saxophone quickly appears and plays in tandem, and we feel transported to the world of the song. Reinhold’s smooth style of play underscores the piece immediately after, and the music quickly builds to a style that embodies the best of the genre.
Having accomplished so much already and making their determination to take their music to new heights undeniably clear, fans can only wait with anticipation to see what this artist could possibly have coming down the pipeline next.
