Michel DeQuevedo is an artist that should be recognized for his deep and lustful vocals. He does so by bringing his romantic storytelling to life though acoustic guitar instrumentals and strategically curated production aspects. His vocals include whispering when the song calls for it and harmonies that drive the vocals into a new realm.

You don’t need to fully understand Spanish in order to enjoy this song. It is filled with so much emotion just through the production aspects of the song. The drum work that introduces itself in the bridge or the harmonies that follow are examples of brilliant storytelling through instrumentation. This song makes you feel something without always understanding the words. And that, is no easy feat.

The words, however, are very beautiful on their own and really help paint a portrait of human reflection and what it’s like to fall in love. Michel DeQuevedo does a wonderful job at relaying this message to his audience through passionate vocals.

“Yo Que Tu” is a song that connects deeper than most. It does so through moments of reflection within the instrumental world and perfectly curated production quality. This song starts off slow and sultry just to end up strong and full of power.
