“Cloud Maze“ by PODVIG!

“Cloud Maze” by PODVIG! is a psychedelic rock song that offers a slow build into a powerful, anthemic track that grips the listener and doesn’t let them go. This jam band is used to merging their different backgrounds and styles to craft interesting sonic landscapes, but this song is the first one that traveled out of a jam session and into a full-fledged, released track. The live and improvised nature of the band still shines through, though, displaying the strong chemistry these players have with each other, as well as their commitment to creating raw and captivating arrangements.

The track starts with light and understated instrumentation, slowly introducing tapping hi hats and subtly riffing guitars. Then, big, grungy guitars begin to fill out the low frequencies of the song as the energy rises. Ominous instrumentation, energetic riffs, and swooping atmospheres lay the groundwork behind electric guitar solos. The intimate and passionate playing from each band member makes it feel like you are in the room with them, letting their talented performances wash over you.

Pianos dance through the song and white noise adds tension as electric guitars whine. PODVIG! has a strong artistic vision and a clear understanding of how to craft a perfect sonic journey. The song gradually rises in energy the whole time, but also has slight falls and builds within the track that offer satisfying anticipation and rewarding arrivals. “Cloud Maze” has a uniquely invigorating sound and gets us all excited for any future releases from PODVIG!
