About Our Press Packages:

Instead of traditional pitching with unknown outcomes, we have worked with our own industry contacts, as well as our pr team’s network to be sure we provide tangible results for dollars spent. Being a blog ourselves with high standards, we have carefully found our team, made deals, and secured contracts with top quality publications. Our team has years of experience working with indie as well as major labels and artists, having had clients such as Rita Ora, Rihanna, 50 Cent, and Yelawolf. Our coverage network ranges from smaller niche, medium, & larger traffic sites to major publications and these options are priced accordingly.

These packages are more targeted-driven per release (or tour, event, etc.), rather than a general monthly amount towards publicity services. The industry does require higher amounts for press, but we have made deals and gotten “ins” that are often hard-to-find and relatively reasonable considering the market standards for press.

Artists/labels/publicists/managers get to choose what they want to make happen and allocate their budget accordingly. We are after all here to support emerging artists and drive up an impact onto their growing careers.

How does it work?

If your music is accepted, then you would send payment for your desired major placement.

Depending on your budget, you can opt to have individualized publications, or you can group them together. We have pre-made packages and custom packages. Let us know in your submission form what you are interested in packaging and we could see what discount would be possible.

These publications are all higher cost due to them having higher DA (Domain Authority) and being well-known. Each one is at least multiple hundreds of dollars, and the more influential ones are even pricier, so please only submit for these if you have this type of budget.

In addition to the standard submission to our team, some publications at the higher end require an extra pitching process from us about the artist, music, and project from to land placement – we will always let you know the results of your submission.

With the major publication press placements, we provide an SEO-optimized 600+ word article telling your narrative and drawing attention to your project.

Benefits:

Not only do you drive listeners/readers to your track(s) or music video, but the keywords and links used on such a good domain authority site help build your online presence.

In addition to helping SEO, these publications have influence and verification, especially since we offer for them to stay published permanently. You can use these publications as leverage to build your brand as an artist – to be able to say you’ve been featured on these sites helps build credibility to labels, audiences, and any kind of pitching/EPK.

Alternative Coverage:

If interested in more affordable music review coverage at the indie level, you can check out our music review blog promotion.

F.A.Q.

PRE-RELEASE PACKAGES:

We will need your artist bio or some type of past write up, as well as your socials. We also ask if there are any quotes or links that you’d like to include. If the music is unreleased, we’ll need a listening link. We’ll ask for more detailed artist info right when you place your order.

Photo Timing:

For our press release package, at the time that we send you our press release writing for your approval (within a week or so of the order), you’d need to be prepared at that point to provide the required high resolution photos. The photos need to be 1200 x 600px

Press Releases often come before the release date to build up buzz, so the Press Release package is ideal to order pre-release.

Please note that in our press releases, we are not embedding any Spotify/music links since it is not out – we do however provide direct links to your website, music platforms, and socials.

Press releases (pre-release) are actually considered news, so we are not requiring submissions in the same way that we do for music review/interview writing. We are providing publicity services by writing news and distributing it to our networks.

Each publication has their own qualifications – for example Vents Magazine still does require a submission on their end which is why you don’t pay that portion unless accepted.

Some blogs may slightly edit the text or make small changes to fit their formats (but they wouldn’t do anything to change the information you send).

The press releases should be written within a week or less and sent to you for approval. After that, we distribute to the 450+ newswires, as well as Rising Artists, PopFad, Music & Fashion, and it is up within days. You’ll receive a report of this when it comes.

Then we focus on our music site add-ons. It takes various times to publish to the individual sites within these extra options that you choose. It could a few days to 2 weeks. We’ll update you with all the links.

So all in all the process could take one week to many weeks depending on your goals and publications.

Press Package Music Sites: For the music sites (both included and the add-ons) those are more long-lasting if not permanent. It depends on what each site chooses to do,  but in general they are up for a long while and so for this reason blogs are great if artists are looking to create backlinks for SEO or to build their Google knowledge panel.

Press Release Newswire Distribution: For the press release distribution to news sites, anything distributed within a traditional newswire is not designed to stay up for long periods of time. Syndicated press release posts get deleted by the news sites after a certain period of time – all newswires work like this.

These are more centered around blasting out the news (which for artists is a particular release/event) which creates a buzz and media attention around the artist. This builds up excitement and anticipation towards the upcoming release/event.

So if you are looking for maximum impact and longevity, having the blog add-ons to the press package would be the way to go. The higher the domain authority of the music site (add-ons), the more influence this has onto the artist’s SEO performance (visibility in search engines). Our pricing ranges are correlated to the influences of these sites.

Yes, absolutely! All this press is here for your music career achievements. You can spread the word about the publications you’ve been featured on as you see fit. You are welcome to use logos.

We are able to get you onto these add-on music sites post release for music reviews, but only if your submission is approved by our writers. This is an entirely separate process through our blog promotion, which you can learn about by clicking here.

If approved, you can then choose similar add-ons to get published onto our blog networks.

POST-RELEASE PACKAGES:

First you submit your music and specify exactly what individual or packaged major press items you’d want.

Then if accepted, you’ll fill out an order form with payment. We will need your artist bio or some type of write up about yourself, as well as your socials.

We ask you to describe your sound and explain what the release is about. We ask how the music was produced.

We also ask for a high resolution photo.

For Major Publication Press Placement, this can only be done post-release to draw attention to your track/video.

Embeds:

Part of the reason we stick to after the release is because embeds are only possible post-release, and we want to drive traffic to your project on its platform (such as a Spotify track or YouTube video). Most of our major press items can do embeds, but it depends on the publication’s format.

Major publication placements require submissions to our blog’s team first.

Regular Submissions Process: If approved by our team, we then collect payment and send it over to each of the artist’s desired publication(s). After we send it over, it is usually guaranteed placement with the deals we have made.

That being said, it is possible that the publications may on occasion exercise their discretion and decide that your music is not the best fit. This is a more rare circumstance, however we would know within a week of sending it over whether or not it was placed. If for some reason it did not make the cut, then we can refund you for that major publication, or you can order another one of equal or higher value.

Extra Pitching Process: There are certain publications that require an extra pitching process on their end, such as for Lyrical Lemonade, Wonderland, Billboard Argentina, and XXL. These would then require approval on both our blog and their publication’s end, but we will get back to you either way with the response.

Major Publication Package: If you are approved (which is as soon as we can get to it but usually within a week), then upon acceptance we may take a few days to gather any needed materials.

If it is a regular process, once we send over the placement, the turnaround time is up to one week.

For the publications that require an extra pitching process (Lyrical Lemonade, Wonderland, XXL, Billboard Argentina), the turnaround time could be up to a few weeks.

So all in all the process could take a few days to a few weeks depending on the publication(s).

For major press placements, we offer that it is permanent. If for example, the blog a year from now removes the article for some reason, they have that choice and (for the major placements only) we always recover the article for free or provide a new blog at the same cost. This doesn’t usually happen but it’s important for us to express that to artists.

In addition to increased online visibility and exposure to grow your fanbase, you can utilize your placements effectively to increase their impact. Incorporating them into your EPK (Electronic Press Kit), establishing a dedicated press page on your website, and partnering with reputable sources can help in obtaining verification through influential platforms. Major labels particularly appreciate independent musicians who proactively develop their portfolios, as it establishes a foundation of trust within their fan base.

If you wish to do a PR Campaign with the major placements and are interested in many of these blogs, you can email us for a custom package. Remember that each publication is multiple hundreds of dollars on its own so if you are not working with that kind of budget you can just stick with one major publication at a time or with our (if it’s pre-release) then more affordable press package, or post-release you can check out our music review blog promotion.

If you have a significant budget for major PR you can provide us with your goal, your budget for PR and press and then we can set up a bundle and give you the best possible price up to the budget point.

If your budget point is really high (we’re talking mid 4 to 5+ figures) we do have the capabilities to get you major press even higher than what is listed above such as with Billboard, Elle, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Variety, and Rolling Stone (this is the original Rolling Stone and not the Rolling Stone UK limited time deal we are offering). These particular blogs at the higher level always have a pitch-approval process, but our team does have real contracts with them. In some cases for bigger blogs, such Rolling Stone, they need journalism on a press story – especially for picking up indie artists. Our team can help build a promotion plan around that story (we can chart the single, get them an official RIAA plaque, build the success around the release) and then go to the blogs with that story.
