FThe Confederation, the UK-based band that is impossible to pin to a single genre, sounds incredible on their new release, ‘Coat In The Hallway’. Beautiful vocals command interest over the versatile instrumental. Backed by a rhythm section that has more voices than most orchestras, there was never a moment without something interesting going on. From guitar solos to quiet brass interjections there was a lot to enjoy. Despite the thick texture, vocals never had a problem commanding the spotlight. They were powerful and helped push through the highs and the lows. With so many different elements going on, “Coat In The Hallway” was a delight to listen to.
From the catchy chorus to the groovy verses I found “Coat In The Hallway” to be exciting and fun to listen to. The type of music that makes you want to dance no matter where you are. This easy going vibe was due in part to the tantalizing vocals. They commanded interest while feeling relaxed and personable. Almost like a friend greeting you, the energy was exciting and fun. A great song to put you in a good mood and put a smile on your face.
One of my favorite parts was how big the presence was. Everything felt like it could have been performed in Carnegie Hall. While the cool vocals found their groove, the band could contribute however the song needed without worrying about detracting from the lead melody. Even down to the harmonies, everything locked into the texture and allowed the vocals to soar.
“Coat In The Hallway” by The Confederation is available now on any major streaming services.
