The Cookie Jar Complot is an instrumental Indie band from Luxembourg. CJC consists of the songwriting duo Sven Schmeler and Gilles Glesener, who has been active since 2020. When teaming up for The Cookie Jar Complot, their aim was to create compelling instrumental music that you can dance to.
“CAVIAR CAPITAL” is The Cookie Jar Complot’s first EP, they describe it as raucous indie, atmospheric post-rock and funky goodness. The Luxembourg duo is taking you one hell of an instrumental roller coaster ride with this delicious EP.
When starting the EP you almost wonder if they named the first song “NEO” after fictional character Neo from the Matrix, because just like Neo this song will take you on a trip. The Cookie Jar Complot says that “NEO” is a lush hooky banger to the dancy….The song instantly pulls you into the world of CJC.
The alien like song that is “TFO” makes you want to bob your head while simultaneously laying in the grass and staring at the stars. The variety that this song brings is unmatched, it’s hard to keep an audience encapsulated without lyrics but The Cookie Jar Complot makes it seem easy.
“sweet dreams” is a more mellow song that keeps you relaxed while you recover from the beautiful noise that is “NEO” and “TFO”. Marilyn Manson said it best “sweet dreams are made of this”, when you hear “sweet dreams” from CJC you instantly get a calming feeling and you kind of associate your sweeter dreams with this song.
The December release of their EP “CAVIAR CAPITAL” is the gift you didn’t know you needed in your life, yet here it is, for all your enjoyment. It truly is a sensational EP and any future release is sure to be just as amazing. A duo as connected as them are virtually unstoppable. They will surpass any musical heights.
