divine&acajou’s debut single, in both French and English, crosses streams of slam, chamber and indie-pop with clarity and grace, utilizing her emotive lyricism and captivating vocals perfectly. The name is derived from ‘divine’ and ‘acajou’; strength and her connection to her center. Her musical journey began at 5 when she started learning the violin and continued through professional singing in a choir. French in blood but American at heart, divine&acajou is inspired by French artists such as Berger and Rita Mitsouko as well as American artists like Simon & Garfunkel.
