divine&acajou’s debut single, in both French and English, crosses streams of slam, chamber and indie-pop with clarity and grace, utilizing her emotive lyricism and captivating vocals perfectly. Released on December 15th, 2021, “Viens” explores subjects of desire, waiting and hope within frustration. The name is derived from ‘divine’ and ‘acajou’; strength and her connection to her center. Her musical journey began at 5 when she started learning the violin and continued through professional singing in a choir. French in blood but American at heart, divine&acajou is inspired by French artists such as Berger and Rita Mitsouko as well as American artists like Simon & Garfunkel.

Rooted in the movement of women empowerment, a movement very dear to divine&acajou’s heart, her first track is sincere and layered.
