New York rapper T-Bruin has been releasing music since 2016, since then the solo artist has released multiple EPs, singles and albums. His hardwork and dedication has gotten him this far and his fans aren’t disappointed. T-Bruin has been able to capture the ears and hearts of over 250 people monthly, with influences such as Jay-Z, Nas, Kanye and Drake, T-Bruin will quickly become a favorite of yours.
The intro song to EP “Stuck On Earth” comes “SUN GAZING”, which is very reminiscent of something nostalgic, pulling beats that have a very 90s flow, T-Bruin is kicking the EP off to one hell of a start. Lyrically this is a fun and easy song to rap along to, you won’t be able to not put this on repeat.
T-Bruin shows a different vibe with “MY UNIVERSE” which is a song that feels to be very external in feeling. It’s a song that gets you in your head and makes you want to think about any and everything. It begs the question, what is your universe entail? Can you manifest your own universe or are you building it from scratch? T-Bruin has created a song that makes you feel like maybe rap does still have hope.
The game of tug of war is exhausting, the constant mentality that you’re in battle mode. “TUG OF WAR” is more on the lines of “MY UNIVERSE”, it’s a track that really makes you keep thinking. Guest vocalist Xiolynn, makes the song feel more emotional with here velvety voice….you’ll be left singing “push and pullin, push and pullin, push and pullin”.
With the last song “10,000 HOURS” it seems that T-Bruin lifts the mood a bit, a song that is about pushing yourself to the limit so you can master a certain skill. But it has you wondering if it was all worth it, was all that hard work worth where you are now? It takes 10,000 hours of intensive practice to achieve mastery.
If “Stuck On Earth” was your first introduction to T-Bruin, then what a great meeting it is. You don’t have to enjoy rap to appreciate the hard work and effort that was put into this EP. T-Bruin should be at the top of your list of favorite artists, this will give you a new perspective on your day.
