“Fat Tongue” by The Margaret Hooligans

The Margaret Hooligans, a name that you should be familiar with. The duo that hails from the township of Bala Cynwyd, PA has just released their 8th single this year..6th if you count “Algiers” as an EP release, either way these two people have been extremely busy. One half of The Margaret Hooligans is lead vocalist Meg Cratty who sometimes provides ukulele, she has help from Mr. Strontium who completes the duo. This drummer gives you more than one sound, he also plays the teapot and you will hear him providing back up vocals

This latest single “Fat Tongue” was recorded in the basement of Piety Street Publishing, drummer Mr. Strontium did the producing, and the song was mixed/mastered by Jon Huxtable of Smallfish Recordings.

With this latest single the duo has shown why they are eclectic and why you want to keep coming back for more. The epic drum intro that echoes throughout the opening, having that mixed with the realistic lyrics of Meg Cratty is enough to open your eyes.

The duo does not disappoint yet again, they are truly making music that is impossible not to love. “Fat Tongue” feels more like a spoken word rock track, its catchy, edgy and will make you actually feel emotional and making you think. Stay tuned for more, “Fat Tongue” is the fourth release from their upcoming album “Turntable Tribulations” which is due in October of this year.
