“Poison” by NAYTiiVE

London-based artist Nathan Gittens AKA NAYTiiVE’s new single, “Poison,” is an upbeat, ultra-catchy funk-pop tune that will get any party going. Comprised of an exhilarating dance beat and NAYTiiVE’s uplifting vocals, “Poison” is a song meant to get people dancing and will do exactly that.

Fans of old-school funk artists such as James Brown and Bootsy Collins will love the nostalgic feeling that “Poison” brings to the table. At the same time, the track has a modern flare with its elements of R&B and dream pop, which gives the song an appealing sound to people of all ages. NAYTiiVE’s vocal range is impeccable, effortlessly switching tones and singing styles yet still making the song sound cohesive and smooth.

“Poison” sounds extremely well produced for an up-and-coming artist, highlighting NAYTiiVE’s drive and determination to get him far in the music industry. He has been in the industry since the age of sixteen, being in a band named concept, before leaving to work on solo music, which he has been doing for the past few years.

“Poison,” although a cheery instrumental, has a much darker meaning. The “Poison” referred to in the song is about an addiction to the toxic relationship with alcohol and all the harmful elements it brings to one’s life. The juxtaposition of the lyrics to the thrilling dance beat is very clever and makes the track more unique.

The energy that NAYTiiVE’s vocals and instrumentals give the listener is like no other, and I can only imagine how fun and intoxicating his music must be live! Take a listen to “Poison,” and try to go to one of NAYTiiVE’s live shows, as it is said to be an unforgettable experience.
