Amelie Blake is back with a new single “Rules Are Made to Be Broken” and we can’t stop listening to this one of a kind mix of light and dark sound.
We love the sound that A. Blake presents, and it’s a fun mixture of dark pop and art pop, and it reminds us of similar productions such as Billie Eilish.
This track is described by Amelie Blake as “[Exploring] the push and pull between wanting to conform to the expectations placed upon women, and wanting to reclaim the inner rebel.”
A.B goes on to say “expect attitude, thought provoking lyrics, like the analogy of the angel and the devil on each shoulder, it’s the quiet voice inside all of us that whispers, what if?”
There are a lot of eye-opening lyrics here, that are deep and understanding of relationships and the control and manipulation that can take place, whether we realize it or not.
We can’t wait to hear what Amelie B. comes out with next, as we love her mysterious and eerie sounds that fit her so well.
