Exploding onto the scene with heartfelt lyricism, Getting Started has released their 5 track EP One Road. The Chicago based indie band is made up of 5 members, who all collaborate on creating a uniquely diverse song. The lead single from the project is the title track “One Road.”
Getting Started has a real singer/songwriter sound taking influence from bands like Bon Iver and also feeling reminiscent of artists like Jack Johnson. Vocalist Jack Gallo has a sweet and rich voice, blending beautifully with his accompaniment. The layering of the production weaves in the bass, drums, electric guitar, and keys, and all these elements still paint a soft and warm sound.
Overall, Getting Started really is doing just that. They have a clear sound and really mix well with each other.
