“17 (Acoustic)” by Hello Sister

I don’t know what it is about Florida—maybe the ocean, sunshine, or the palm trees—but the Sunshine State knows how to grow talent. It may be a little biased of me to say that, considering I’m a Florida girl, but one thing is sure—Orlando-bred band Hello Sister is proof! You’ve seen them on America’s Got Talent, and they’ve performed in notable places!

In early June, the three-piece pop-rock band unleashed an acoustic version of their heartbreak anthem, “17.” With only a guitar, the real-life sisters sing about the symptoms that follow a breakup: struggling to move on, regretting, crying, confusion, etc.

Grace-the lead vocalist, keyboardist, and bassist)-is quite impressive as her soft vocals exhibit emotions associated with the piece. Gabrielle (background vocals and guitar) and Scarlett (background vocals and drums) did a phenomenal job with the harmonies and the background parts, especially towards the end where they sing, “Hurts me to know how easy you walked away.” “17” reminds me of the early years of  Demi Lovato mixed with Clique Girlz, Veronicas, and KSM—so it’s pretty nostalgic!

What’s truly remarkable about Hello Sister is their ability to deliver two equally compelling versions of ’17 ‘. The acoustic rendition is undeniably great, but the original version is just as emotionally moving. Don’t miss out on either of these masterpieces!

I can’t help but rave about Hello Sister’s flawless performance at Sunfest in West Palm Beach, FL. Every moment was a testament to their talent and dedication, and I’m thrilled to be a new fan! If you get a chance to see them live, don’t miss it!
