“Dream” by Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends

Sweden’s Arne Floryd, also known as Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends, has a charming, nostalgic quality. His low-toned vocals, soothing instrumental, and overall beautiful simplicity in his new track “Dream” create a serene atmosphere for listeners to immerse themselves in. The instrumental, guided by melancholic keys and gentle drums, and Arne’s voice, reminiscent of artists like Morrissey, make “Dream” a peaceful, tranquil song.

According to Arne, “Dream” is one of his softest recordings to date. The song has a slow-burn rock vibe, with hints of jazz and waltz, almost idyllic for a romantic dance. The loving tones in the song are what makes it so unique, as it feels as though there aren’t just love ballads like there once were.

According to Arne, the ‘Dream’ in the lyrics is a metaphor for a state of innocence and hope that is shattered by the harsh realities of life: “…When death and disaster strike, there is no way back to the innocence of childhood dreams.” This feeling is flawlessly enclosed within “Dream,” as it portrays a child-like, sentimental feeling, but at the same time a bit of a foreboding element due to its somber melody.

“Dream” is a special song, and will be the perfect addition to anyone’s playlist. Take a listen now, available on major music streaming platforms.
