“It’s Me” by Hasika Neethi

HASIKA NEETHI: A SOUTH ASIAN POP FORCE FUSING CULTURE, POWER, AND EMOTION

(Chennai, India / Los Angeles, CA) – With roots in classical Indian music and a soul steeped in global pop, Hasika Neethi is a rising artist rewriting what it means to be a modern performer across cultures.

Born and raised in Chennai, Hasika was immersed in music and movement from a young age. Her background in Carnatic music and Bharatanatyam shaped her discipline and ear — but it was pop that gave her voice flight. Early influences like Beyoncé, Jessie J, Pink, and Michael Jackson inspired her to take up space, take risks, and say something real through her sound. “I started singing to feel seen,” she says. “Over time, I realized I was making music for every version of myself that felt invisible or in-between.

Now based in the U.S., Hasika’s artistry blends Eastern melodic roots with emotional alt-pop and bold visuals. Her debut EP It’s Me! (2023), produced by Grammy-nominated Riley Urick and mixed by Grammy-winner Bob Horn, introduced her fearless sonic identity — deeply personal, unapologetically big.

In August 2023, she made her U.S. performance debut live on Hollywood Boulevard — and just months later, in December, she performed outside Buckingham Palace and received the International Award of Excellence for Best Performer on the same day.

About It’s Me:  “There’s the intimate and introspective ‘It’s Me.‘ Soft piano underlines her emotionally charged verses before she pledges to herself, ‘Even if the world’s against me, I just won’t run away.'”
