Australian songwriter, guitarist and pianist Jeremy makes up Avresa. Outside of Sweden, the word ‘avresa’ may not be commonly known, in English it translates to departure for the beginning of an adventure. Jeremy recently left a four piece band to start his own project, since then he has been collaborating with other artists to get the indie, electronica, folk/light rock sound that you hear.
“Patience (Delta Variant)” is an alternative version of the song that was released in March 2020. COVID-19 came into the world and scared us all, people were buying all the toilet paper, starting fights with anyone who was or wasn’t wearing a mask and that’s if you were allowed to go outside. Needless to say, the world was in absolute chaos, and it seemed like no one knew how to do anything except freak out. Avresa wrote “Patience” in light of that, to remind the people of Australia and other countries that all you need to do is take a breath and relax. Even the smallest amount patience goes a long way.
With the Delta Variant in our lives, Avresa decided to release this alternate version. You will instantly fall in love with the lyric video that Avresa made, it allows you to visually see what’s going on in the world and follow along with what is being said. Lyrically the song is inspiring, when you find a song that will give you goosebumps, you know it’s a keeper. “Patience” is a song that will be a constant reminder to everyone that no matter what the situation, you need to be patient.
Avresa has larger collection of music titled “Perspective” and “Patience” will be a part of that. Because of the pandemic, the track was entirely recorded at home and self-produced during lockdown. Jeremy has proven that he won’t stop and all you can do is listen to his current singles and wait for “Perspective”
“If anything good comes out of this unsettling time we are currently living through, it will give us all a new perspective – on ourselves, each other, the world we live in and the way we live.” -Jeremy
