It makes all the sense in the world that the video clip for “Somewhere Down The Line” by Carnival Mind showcases a campfire because when I initially listened without sight, I imagined myself in that exact setting. You can’t help but feel like that when you hear a song that resides on the pure beauty of acoustic charm.
With hints of Bob Dylan tossed into the heart of “Somewhere Down The Line,” you would think Carnival Mind was from about the same region as the celebrated singer-songwriter, but alas, this is an Australian-based talent delivering sweet tunes that seamlessly marry Americana with folk and a little country on the side. It is one of those songs I feel fits nicely in with this time of year, as the leaves start to change and the air cools, a sing-a-long by the fire in the backyard with this song would be nothing short of a great time for all.
“Somewhere Down The Line” is the latest single from Carnival Mind this year. It follows “Shots” and from earlier this year, “Easy to Run.” All releases highlight the vocal abilities that come naturally to the overall makeup that is Carnival Mind. Those looking to add a wonderful array of folk, country, and acoustic sounds to their lives will want to check out what Carnival Mind is putting out. With that said, check out “Somewhere Down The Line,” available now on all major music and streaming platforms.
