Toronto-based artist Dré Anthony made headways when he dropped his first mixtape, “Dice,” back in the peak of Covid-19 in March of 2020. “Shining” is Anthony’s first release of 2022, yet the momentum he possesses is not going anywhere. Dré Anthony (Born Andre Hall) is of Jamaican descent, thus growing up listening to his family’s music: reggae as well as dancehall. At the young age of eight-years-old, Anthony performed at his first talent show and has been creating music ever since.
