Fueled by passion for their work with no sign of slowing down, new-wave metal outfit Three Sixes has made it clear that this will be their year. Fresh off the release of their latest record “Reject Control,” which garnered universal acclaim within their community on its own merit, the group hopes to build on this momentum as they prepare for the debut of their upcoming full-length album “Call Me the Devil.” In anticipation of this release, the group gives fans a glimpse of what is to come as they tease their marquee single off the record “Unflawed,” to showcase their talents to the world at large. A tune that embodies the unapologetically raw and thrashy sound the band has become synonymous with, they once again show how immersive of an experience their music truly is.
To say the piece begins with gusto would be an understatement. A fast-paced percussive line underscored by a complementing electric guitar tune introduces the single and the world of their music is quickly built around us. The vocals then appear in a husky, whispered tone to begin the narrative with the opening line “I’m holy. I’m grace. I unite. I embrace. Trust me faithfully, follow me doubtlessly” and the music takes flight.
Characterized by their musical proficiency and thematic cohesion, Three Sixes proves their merits with every verse. Reminiscent of the pioneers of their genre, such as Lamb of God, the group gives listeners much to be excited about as they pave the way for their own success.
