Q: I love your single “609” from you and Dana Naidu. Tell us a little back story of that song creation.
EDENOJIE: A friend of ours Shibo, invited us over for a jam session,
and was like I got some beats I want you guys to listen to tell me which one you like, and he played a couple but this very one stood out to us and we started building the melody and started writing instantly before we knew it it was a tune stuck in our heads, and for the back story we got inspired by our friend Shibo and ourselves I guess.
Q: How did you come up with your band name?
EDENOJIE: We are not a band but Dana Naidu and Edenojie are tow artists and great friends that came together to create this magic of a song.
Q: What do you enjoy most about being a musician? What do you hate most?
EDENOJIE: This one is easy!! Creating music and performing live,
love doing them so much.
Q: We notice you just started releasing music online. How has that experience been for you?
EDENOJIE: It’s been a learning experience altogether, I used to feel I wasn’t good enough to put out music but seeing people appreciate my work gave me confidence and also learning about how important it is to have a marketing strategy or promotion strategy behind every song was something I had to learn the hard way.
Q: You have a beautiful soulful voice! Where do you get your inspiration from?
EDENOJIE: This is a tough one because I can’t sit down and just point out someone as an idle, I’m very eclectic when it comes to music, but I listen to a lot of Gospel, RnB, Jazz, Neo-soul, Pop, Afro etc.
Q: What is coming next for both of you?
EDENOJIE: We have another single in the pipeline already being worked on, and we have plans of a collaborative EP & album. I believe in us so much and I know we can make this work because ewe are both so hardworking.
