Our Future Leaders is consist of Brian Strean as Vocals/Lyrics/Guitar, Danny Foote as Lead Guitar and Drums by Kenny Carkeet. They were all friends who met in Orlando. They had several members come and go over time, but have been making music together since about 2010. Our Future Leaders have established themselves as one of the hottest acts in Central Florida, where they have played many of the city’s most prominent venues. The latest single “Inadequate” features Kenny Carkeet on drums and mix by the renown James Paul Wisner.
No matter who you are we have all been through a moment of depression, it happens to the best of us. Those moments when you can’t leave the bed, eat or shower, you can’t take care of yourself. It’s an embarrassing moment and a lot of time it’s hard to dig yourself out of the hole you are in. This song is about how depression can be experienced. “Music has always been my creative outlet, so when I realize I’m not progressing with writing it sends me into a self conscious spiral which makes me feel completely unmotivated to do anything. If you’ve ever experienced depression, you may be able to relate. “Inadequate” is the first single from Our Future Leaders in 2021, and it surely won’t be the last. Those looking for a song that dives into how they feel this is the one.
