“Fight Of The Bumblebee” by Call In Dead

Call In Dead is a very unique band, with the oldest at 44 and the youngest at 28, they are four punk rockers from DC, New Jersey and Florida. They bring their different experiences and styles together to make a sound that is familiar to the true punk fans. “Fight of the Bumblebee” is the third single off our DCxPC Live album recorded live in the Danger Room in Orlando, FL. “It mixes our love for punk, hardcore and metal into an aggressive song with a positive message, “take the road less travelled” because doing what everyone else has already done is not how to live.” -Call In Dead

The phrase “punk is not dead” has been circling the genre since the late 70s, many bands claim to be punk, but lets be real, they aren’t quite doing it right. Punk is defined as a loud, fast-moving, and aggressive form of rock music, “Fight of the Bumblebee” is absolutely punk. Call in Dead is a great example of a band that is keeping punk alive, the energy of this song has Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater vibes. Call in Deads latest single “Fight of the Bumblebee” reminds you of the days of basement parties and thrashing into the wall as you start a mosh pit with your best buds and people you barely know. Because the group has a dynamic age difference, they are able to accurately capture the vibes of old school punk and 21st century punk. The Florida based band is making enormous waves since their release of first EP “The EP”. If hardcore punk is what you want then Call In Dead is who you need

“As for the origin of “Fight of the Bumblebee”… musically speaking it has the intro and the bridge
with the guitar riff that sounds like a swarm of bees, so we started calling it “Flight of the Bumblebee”
after the classical song, but then we realized that “Fight” works better not only because the song is so
aggressive, but also because we literally shout “fight” in the song.”
