Music is a powerful tool that allows musicians to freely express themselves through passionate instrumentation and vocals. Idaho band Runaway Symphony have released their song “Fever Dream” and the music is wonderful because the band used harmony to show the meaning behind the song.
“Fever Dream” is about time and how we have the choice to accept it, ignore it or runaway from it. The meaning of this song is deep and with the help of harmonic instrumentation and vocals, this piece sounds amazing. The soft instrumentation buzzes the atmosphere with delicate soundscapes that matches the theme and the vocals harmonically narrate the story of time. In someways, it does feel like the band is showing how precious time is for them because the sound of their music does capture their own thoughts about the time we have left on this earth.
Many people can relate to this song because we have the choice to manage our time on this planet and sometimes people often forget how valuable time is. Perhaps “Fever Dreams” is a reminder of how precious life is and how we should pay attention to the time we have because life is short and unpredictable. Life can change in a second and hopefully when people listen to this song, they will be challenged to think about how they manage time on a daily basis.
Runaway Symphony did a nice job with “Fever Dreams” because their harmonic musical style does bring the feeling of time slipping away. The band knows how to create beautiful music and I hope to hear more music from them in the near future.
