“CocoNutz”, a fun and colorful hip-hop track about candy bars is the perfect party song for any candy lover. Beginning off with an extremely compelling instrumental, accompanied by A.D.’s up-beat and unique voice, “CocoNutz” is a lively and binge-worthy song that you won’t be able to get out of your head. With such a simple premise, the beat goes hard along with A.D.’s lively and amusing voice to create this eccentric track.

When listening to this song, it’s hard not to bop your head and have colors flashing in your mind: A.D.’s captivating and ultra-colorful voice brings the candy he’s talking about to life. A.D. begins off the track with suggestive lyrics referencing Busta Rhyme’s “Touch It”: “Touch it, bring it; pay it; watch it; turn it, leave it, stop, format it; If I got a taste then believe me; When I just gotta have it”. Then, he flawlessly changes direction, with lyrics referencing actual candy: “Reese’s pieces; cinnamon toast crunch; I’m just a sugar addict”. This might be A.D.’s way of referencing something raunchier than might meet the eye at first listen, but maybe he is simply talking about his love of candy?

A.D. is a rapper from Hemel Hempstead, England. With inspirations ranging from Eminem to Tech N9ne, A.D. perfects his own unique sound with his exciting delivery. A.D. has always had the music in him, beginning rapping at just 10 years old, as well as winning the Big Break in 2014 on BBC.

Whether this song is about actual candy or not, there’s no denying A.D.’s exhilarating delivery, effortlessly switching from slow to fast-paced verses and going from high to low tones, adding to the fun-loving feel to the song. The beat is so addicting and the lyrics are so amusing, it’s impossible to not smile and move along to this truly remarkable and lively track.
