“Sunshine” by Allan Corby

As a wild winter storm raged on throughout the night, it was only fitting to listen to “Sunshine” by Allan Corby this morning to lift my spirits. As I grew up in nothing but the glistening warmth from up above and have only recently been introduced to days filled with snow-capped landscapes. This one from Corby not only melted my heart but took me home with each listen.

On top of being a personal reminder of where I was born and raised, “Sunshine” comes through as one of Allan Corby’s strongest singles thanks to its simplicity. We have become acquainted with Corby thanks to songs like “Old McDonald Goes to the Circus” and “Love is a Merry-Go-Round,” but what I love about this one is how much it is very reminiscent of the singer-songwriter styles that made the ‘60s and ‘70s a prime era for music. You could hear “Sunshine” once, and be humming it for the rest of the day. That is how catchy and whimsical this delight is from Allan Corby.

A passionate musician, Allan Corby picked up his first guitar as a teen and has been in love ever since. Only, he did take a lengthy break for four decades but all that time away did not falter him as he continues to impress with each release. That includes the perfect companion for any day, “Sunshine.”

To hear “Sunshine” and more from Allan Corby, make sure to check him out on all major music and streaming platforms now.
