“Wake Up Wake Up” by ANNAKYE

Central Coast Australian six piece alternative band is shaking things up in the music world. The two front women of Annakye, Lily Freeman and Lexi Lou share the vocals, the drummer is Joel Matin, bassist Carlos Messina, Richard Cooper on guitar, and on rhythm is Ben Broome. The group has released their fourth single “Wake Up Wake Up” and it is not one you want to miss.

Are you ready to have some fun? Grab your drink because it’s about to get wild, “Wake Up Wake Up” is a track about a night out, making fun of the fact the a friend passed out in the bathroom, then the bartender calls last call…wake up wake up.

The fast heavy song is fun and a song you definitely want to absolutely hammered to, start a mosh pit and maybe a few fires. This is the kind of song you hear on Tony Hawk Pro Skater, it’s one that any punk would love. This song will a hit just like their other songs.

The dynamic of the song is to let loose and just have fun, enjoy your weekend and don’t sweat the little things. The band does an excellent job at keeping you in the moment, you can’t help but to want to engage with them and have a blast. If this if your first introduction to Annakye then you’re lucky. What a spectacular way to learn who they are as a band.
