Q: “TOP OF THE WORLD” is such a fun and uplifting song! What do you hope listeners take from hearing this track?
I AM LEGEND: Thank you and I appreciate this interview! What I want people to take away from “Top Of The World” is , don’t fall slave to the rhythm of somebody else’s drum . Make your own beat. Your dreams are just dreams until you make it a reality so keep going till you conquer your ambitions
Q: I read that you grew up seeing your mom perform in a church choir, so a love of music for you began early! How did this influence the type of music you create today?
I AM LEGEND: Yeah this music thing is my baby ! I have to take care of my baby . Church has a influence over so much more than just me . Blue music , Rock n Roll , R &B , Opera and so much more . But to answer your question , it was the choirs voice that commanded attention and my mother standing there singing her heart out and people was actually crying because she was moving their spirit.
Q: If you could collaborate with any artist (dead or alive), who would it be?
I AM LEGEND: My mother, I want to collaborate with my mother. Then Kanye, Tory Lanze, Pop Smoke, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Travis Scott, and many more
Q: Can you walk me a little through your creative process in making, “TOP OF THE WORLD?”
I AM LEGEND: The process was simple. Soon as I heard the beat that Cold Melody made. I instantly heard Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars’s voice all on it. So I had to create my own feel and salute my musical inspirations at the same time. Whenever I’m inspired by any song and it reminds me of some artist. I study the sound they made. Then I get to making music jumbo. Spicy lol
Q: In your own words, how would you describe the type of music you typically create?
I AM LEGEND: The music I make is motivation music, emotional music, get your date start the music, pull the person you love close to you and we’ll you know. It’s feel-good music. I said this once and I will say it again the music I make is for us. Run wit it!
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received about the music industry?
I AM LEGEND: Don’t try to create what you already have. Evolve into a different type of artist and be relentless. Study the greats and remember you’re a public figure, act like and move like. Appreciate those who support you because this can all disappear in a blink of an eye.
Q: What has been one of the highlights of your music career so far?
I AM LEGEND: To be transparent, for me it hasn’t happened yet! I mean having my own home studio is awesome but when that moment happens. I don’t think I would even notice because things will be moving so fast you. But I’m waiting on it and I know it’s coming.
Q: Parting words to your fans?
I AM LEGEND: I love you and when you see me I won’t turn you way. I’m your artist and you guys are my Legendary Fans. We’re family.
Q: What’s next for you? Any projects in the works?
I AM LEGEND: What’s next is a reasonable and honorable record contract! I know some people might be saying “phss he wish” but when God got it, he got it. No projects coming out at this time, just releasing a lot singles and letting the music industry know that I AM LEGEND is here and his going to create his own throne.
