If you call yourself a punk, Teen Mortgage is a name that you should know. Vocalist/guitarist James Guile and drummer Ed Barakauskas met through the classic way, online..it all started with a Craigslist ad and the rest is history. “Valley” is the closing single for album “Smoked” that was released in 2021. The duo describes this track as neo-psyche stoner punk and after months of waiting they have released a self produced music video.
The Washington, D.C. duo never disappoints and that hasn’t changed, the old school type music video is showing a different side of them, a trippier side. When you watch the video you can’t help but to get lost in the guitar, it pulls you in and doesn’t let go. It entices you to go on a journey with Teen Mortgage, if you choose that path you’ll be far from regret.
“Valley” knows how to be smooth yet hard hitting, it’s a good song to get your day started and at the same time it’s a great way to end your day. The track has a lot of versatility that attracts you to the song more, with this music video Teen Mortgage has pulled you right back in.
Take your shoes off, maybe just lay on your floor and vibe out with Teen Mortgage in “Valley”.
