“Narrow Lines” by Attic Theory

“Narrow Lines” by Attic Theory is a powerful gripping song that raises awareness for an important cause. Attic Theory will be donating 100% of the proceeds from downloading their newest single to charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

CALM is a UK charity standing against suicide. It uses donations to help provoke conversation, fund life-saving services, and bring people together.

Lewis Wright of Attic Theory writes, “Our aim with the ‘Narrow Lines’ song and video is to raise more awareness for all those going through difficult times in their lives. The lyrics talk about how you can feel like you’re trapped in a never-ending loop when going through troubling issues and hopefully the song will encourage the listener to reach out to CALM, who offer help, support, and information to anyone who is struggling or in crisis.”

“Narrow Lines” captures the feeling of being alone and calling out for help in times of need. The lively instrumentals and powerful leading vocals drive the feeling of desperation and urgency. The chorus repeats the lines:

Talk me off that ledge I’ll tell you

What I feel the most

Trapped inside narrow lines I’ve drawn myself

This part stood out to me because it shows just how much one person reaching out can help someone who is suicidal. They want someone to ask them how they feel. They need someone who can listen. “Trapped inside narrow lines I’ve drawn myself” is a hard-hitting line. It shows that a person can create problems for themselves in their head but could easily be pulled out with guidance.

“Narrow Lines” is available for streaming and digital downloading on all major streaming and digital download platforms.
