It doesn’t take a genius to know that we live in a broken world and have been for quite some time. A massive shift in America and the reason for so much of the divide today goes back to the 9/11 attack. Since then, a lot in America has changed: we travel differently and have raised awareness about security & privacy, not to mention the complete shift in US immigration policies, which ultimately led to an efflux in discrimination, racial profiling, and hate crimes. Over time, this only caused a deeper cut and division between the world. Singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Nicole’s latest single, “United We Stand,” calls for peace and unity in the world.
“United We Stand” was actually written shortly after 9/11 but Lisa was waiting for the right time to release it. Over twenty years later, the time finally came when Lisa believed the world needed it the most. Lisa finally decided to make the song public to “…show everyone that if we all love one another as God loves us, we will live in peace.”
Lisa’s goal for “United We Stand” is to bring hope to listeners; sometimes, we get so caught up in everyday life that we forget about the real meaning of it. Lisa Marie wants to share this message of hope with her listeners, and believes that if we can fulfill that, we will hopefully live together in peace.
