“The Spice Garden“ by Nova Loka

Nova Loka, a multi-dimensional artist from Melbourne, Australia, showcases their unique and serene sound in their latest single, “The Spice Garden.” The track is also the first track off of Nova Loka’s recent album, “The Lattice Weave of Space,” released on October 13th. “The Spice Garden” transports listeners to an idyllic journey through space. The song is entirely instrumental, consisting of electric guitar and synthesizers, but fully delves into the listener’s emotions, proving that sometimes lyrics are unnecessary.

“The Spice Garden” opens up with a slow building instrumental— consisting of eerie synths and spacey electronic sounds, creating a dreamy, relaxing atmosphere. The sounds continue to grow and change throughout, with the electric guitar having many moments standing out, constructing a melancholic yet calming feeling for the listener.

Although slow and quiet at the beginning, the synths become louder and more robust as the song continues, with a piercing, space-like, high-pitched sound that echoes throughout. The song concludes with a soft, calming portion of synth and guitars, resorting back to the beginning of the track. As the instrumental becomes quieter, it gives the listeners a feeling of togetherness.

“The Spice Garden” was recorded in Nova’s home studio. The album “The Lattice Weave of Space” was composed, performed, and produced by Paul Widdicombe. “The Spice Garden” and the rest of the album are available on all major music streaming platforms. Delve into the hazy aurora that Nova Loka creates within their music.
