Sutton dedicated this song to his wife, which makes the lovestruck lyrics and heartwarming narrative all the more sweet. Whether you’re experiencing a crush, freshly in love, or deep in a long term relationship, the depth of emotion in this soulful americana song is sure to speak to you at any stage in a relationship. 

Romantic horns open the song as pretty, plucked guitar and steady, swaying drums ground the backbone of the track. The deep and intimate vocals draw you into the track, embedding themselves in your soul and welcoming you into the raw emotion of Sutton and his love. Sutton repeats “I’m in my baby’s arm” in the chorus of the track, driving home just how safe and joyful he feels with his wife. When you have a fulfilling love like this, it can almost feel like you don’t need anything else. They are your home, they fill out your life, and they cushion any negativity in other parts of your life.  

For most of the track, the arrangement is fairly sparse, which allows the vocals and lyrics to shine. The song becomes more dynamic in some sections, though, building as Sutton becomes more passionate and expressive over his love. Meandering vocal melodies, free flowing ad libs, and layered backing vocals are reminiscent of old-timey, classic love songs, displaying Sutton’s aptitude for creating a timeless love song that will stand the test of shifts in genres and musical trends.
