Fueled by a bittersweet nostalgic energy, “Ice” is a tale of empowerment interwoven with gorgeous reverbs, synths and heavy drums.

A.B. Violet is Abigail, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumental solo artist. “Ice” was one of the first songs ever written by the UK based writer. Influenced by the likes of London Grammar, Massive Attack, Kate Bush and Tori Amos, her sound is an eclectic mix with unique electronic sensibilities, providing A.B Violet with a viscerally unique sound. The unusual choice of instrumentation like the Gamelan or usage of the una corda on the piano add an ethereal maturity that allows her to stand out.

Described by Roadie Music as ‘Enchanting, original and honest’, A.B Violet has garnered significant radio play including BBC and Radio Southend’s Saturday Sessions with Matt Wherry. “Ice” promotes self-empowerment and independence, particularly after leaving a bad relationship. This message resonates with a lot of people.

Recorded and produced in Highfield studio, Essex by Elliot Richardson of ‘Missing Andy’, “Ice” expands on Abigail’s growing sound whilst staying true to the essence of what makes her music so enchanting. Only releasing music since last year, A.B Violet has already defined her aura and musical identity as one to be reckoned with. There’s no better time to get into her enchanting music than now! Stream “Ice” here.
