If you’re a fan of the Beatles and Beach Boys, you’ll love “Since You Came Along” by Graham Coe. This Blessington, Ireland-based musician is bringing back the 60’s classic sound we’re missing from today’s music.
“Since You Came Along” sounds like a breath of fresh air. It’s produced by Grammy-nominated producers Chris O’Brien and Graham Murphy from The Production Suite. The production is uncomplicated with little to no autotune detected and the simple strum of the guitar combined with the warm beat of a tambourine. The song shares the relief of knowing you’ve met your soulmate and you can hear beaming joy radiate through Coe’s voice. His tone is sweet and light and pairs wonderfully with the upbeat instrumentals.
Coe shares that the 60’s sound is new territory for him, but you wouldn’t have guessed it. He sounds very confident in the sound he’s trying to create and the dreamy instrumentals are immediately reminiscent of The Searches and The Tremeloes. It’s clear that Coe can take a small vision and turn it into reality.
When asked about the meaning behind the catchy tune, Coe says, “It’s about the ecstasy and joy of being lucky enough to meet someone who is willing to share life’s travails and help you to become a better and more confident person in the process.”
There’s nothing better than sharing your happiness with others and that’s what Coe’s done with this project. “Since You Came Along” will turn an ordinary car ride into a joyful cruise filled with laughter and good vibes.
