“Underwater” by Laurits Severin

After a moderately successful debut in 2019, Scandinavian pop artist Laurits Severin is back with “Underwater”. The song is the singer-songwriter’s second release and dropped on April 1, 2022.

“Underwater” was written by Laurits Severin and produced by Simon Kavi Kragh. The track features smooth vocals from Severin. There are notes of today’s pop trends but there is something different about the bumping notes of this mid-tempo groove. I do recommend listening to “Underwater” with headphones. It is a whole different experience as the echoes happen in each ear and different notes hit on different sides. It’s a work of art.

Lyrically speaking, the song is basically about Karma hitting back. The tables have been turned and the other party gets what they deserve after doing the main character wrong. They are “Underwater” and in the dark. The main character of this story revels in the way the universe works in a way. At least, after getting over the initial hurt. “Will you ever be the same, well, you’ve only got you to blame.” I love that part because so many people want to push the blame on others when they get themselves into a messy situation. So, if you’re looking for the next underrated and catchy pop song, Laurits Severin has it with “Underwater”.

The young artist may have taken an extensive break, but Laurits Severin is back and one to watch for. To keep up with him and what he’s doing next, be sure to follow him on his social media platforms linked below.
