“Redeemer” by thurane

Using his honest songwriting and rock worship music to share the reality of God’s power, Christian rock artist thurane has released his new single “Redeemer,” available everywhere now. This is a follow up to thurane’s 2020 EP “:authentic worship:.” The Phoenix based musician has been involved in the music ministry in a number of ways. Most recently thurane has worked with notable charities like World Vision and A.C.T.

“Redeemer” begins with solely percussion and vocals repeating, “you are my redeemer, you make me know you.” This continues until all the other instruments join in for a full band sound. thurane is able to blend multiple influences; there are hints of rock, country, and alternative throughout the track. The song is reminiscent of other indie rock bands like American Authors and some of Imagine Dragons music.

The lyrics talk about being lost in times of trouble and feeling God is there to get you through all things you may have to face. One of the most visual lyrics is, “when I’m scared you comfort me / take monkeys off my back” and it is impressive that this encapsulates the overall message of the song in only a few lines.

Overall, thurane is able to deliver a rock song that talks about something he is passionate about. The song is one anyone would be able to find meaning in, but most importantly it shares thurane’s message of how strong God’s power is. So, if you have not heard “Redeemer” yet, be sure to go give it a listen!
